Rowena is an extension of Dr. Rouah-as his right hand. Rowena's calming personality paves the way to your visit with Dr. Rouah. Like a conductor, she orchestrates all the necessary steps from beginning to end in all dental procedures. She demonstrates a sincere desire to ensure that each patient experiences the most relaxed dental care; ending the treatment with a warm towel embracing your mouth. Rowena spends much of her time with the love of her life, her son; her favorite past time is camping during the summer months.
Fabienne was born in Switzerland and raised in Scarborough. She completed her certified Dental Assistant, Dental Office Reception and Treatment Coordinating programs at George Brown College. About our Hygiene Team
What is the Role of the Registered Dental Hygienist?
Our Dental Hygienists are qualified dental professionals who play a vital role in your oral health care and are an intrinsic part of Dr. Rouah's team. As clinical and educational partners with our patients, their main goal is to prevent gum disease and tooth decay.
They perform procedures to help you achieve and maintain optimum oral health, such as removing plaque and tartar (calculus) from your teeth and below the gum-line. Another important role our hygienists perform is examining your teeth and gums for the presence of diseases or other abnormalities such as lesions that may indicate oral cancer. They take digital dental x-rays and apply cavity-preventive agents such as fluorides and other preventive resins. Further they advise you on how to practice good oral hygiene at home and which products to use in your home care program to meet your specific oral hygiene needs.
What is the Role of the Registered Restorative Dental Hygienist?
The Restorative Dental Hygienist is an experienced graduate dental hygienist who performs restorative procedures in addition to traditional preventive duties, listed in the "What is the Role of the Registered Dental Hygienist".
They are specially trained in bonding techniques that are utilized virtually in all restorative and cosmetic procedures. They place and finish composite and temporary restorations, take final impressions, cement crowns, onlays, inlays and assist with "invisalign" orthodontic devices. They are a key part of our ability to provide the aforementioned procedures to our patients.

Nora has been in the dental profession for over 10 years and has experience in dental assisting, orthodontics and most importantly oral health management. She has recently completed her Bachelor's degree in Dental Science at the University of British Columbia. She enjoys research and is always searching for new technologies and techniques to provide her patients with care that best suits their individual needs. She believes that the mouth is a very integral part of the body and can impact a person's overall general health if not cared for. She strives to educate her patients and assist them in becoming more familiar with their oral cavity and how to care for it. She also loves to travel with her husband, read, drink good wine and eat good food! You can certainly count on her serenading you during your hygiene appointment as she loves all music.
